FUND AN ACCESSIBILITY PROJECT
Accessibility & Renovation Sponsorships
Creating a truly inclusive community space means ensuring that every individual can safely and comfortably access essential facilities. At present, the washrooms available to the Pup-n-Cup Family Café & Shop are located on the second level of the building and are not accessible for many individuals with mobility challenges, chronic health conditions, walkers, or wheelchairs.
This barrier directly impacts community members, including customers, our volunteers, artists with diverse-abilities, workshop participants, caregivers, and regular visitors who may be unable to safely access the upstairs washrooms. For some individuals, this limitation can prevent them from fully participating in programs, volunteering opportunities, workshops, or community events.
The Diversity Den Society is working toward creating a fully accessible main-level washroom and improving entrance accessibility to ensure that all individuals can participate in programs and community life with dignity, safety, and independence.
These renovations are not simply building upgrades, they are essential accessibility improvements that directly reduce barriers to inclusion, participation, and belonging within our community.

We currently have the option of renting the entire front of the building we are in and to install an ADA compliant main level washroom as well as an automatic door opener!
You can be a part of these crucial accessibility upgrades!
